SoftFil Micro Cannulas 14G x 90mm
SoftFil Cannulas 14G x 90mm are available in several gauges and diameters.
Softfil Classic or SoftFil Precision are sterile, single-use injection kits containing:
- 1 stainless steel pre-drilled needle in its protective cap
- 1 round-tipped needle (micro-cannula) in stainless acid in its protective cap.
The price corresponds to the sale of the SoftFil 14G Cannula individually.
Directions
SoftFil Micro-Cannulas are intended for hypodermic injection of medical devices approved for human use.
Contraindications
The use of micro cannulas is contraindicated for injections into the vascular, medullary or nervous systems.
Precautions
This medical device must be used by a professional authorized according to the legislation in force for injection techniques. Prior to use, users should inspect the injection site for any infection, inflammation, edema, skin lesion, scar, birthmark, bony protrusion, lipohypertrophy.
The choice of the micro-cannula is made on the basis of two parameters which characterize the flexibility of the micro-cannula - the length, in accordance with the extent of the area to be treated. - the external diameter, expressed in Gauge (G) and in millimeters (mm), which must be adapted to the viscosity of the product and to the injection plan.
The technique, method and products used depend on experience and are left to the discretion of the physician and/or authorized healthcare professional in order to ensure the best clinical results.
If there is significant bleeding at the entry point, it is recommended to perform a new entry point.
Users should observe appropriate aseptic conditions and handle needles with care to avoid needlestick injuries that could cause the transmission of infectious diseases.
Micro-cannulas are fragile devices, to be handled with care. Any deformation, crushing or damage to the tube may lead to its breakage during use. Avoid making any sudden movement or forcing in case of resistance. In the event of breakage during use, the patient should be redirected as soon as possible to an authorized surgeon who will take the appropriate measures.
Do not use if product or pouch appears damaged. For Single Use - Contents Provided Sterile Do not reuse, reprocess or resterilize. Reuse, reprocessing, or resterilization may compromise the structural integrity of the device and/or lead to device failure, which could result in injury or illness. Reuse, reprocessing or resterilization may also generate contamination of the device and/or cause infection or cross-infection, including but not limited to the transmission of infectious diseases. Any used or started device must be destroyed in accordance with local regulations concerning the disposal of hospital waste.
Use SoftFil Micro Cannulas 14G x 90mm
1/ Inspect the packaging to confirm its integrity.
2/ Prepare the skin area to be treated: make-up removal, cleansing, rinsing, drying, antiseptic to avoid biofilm.
3/ Open the packaging.
4/ To attach the SoftFil micro-cannula to the syringe, firmly hold the micro-cannula by its plastic cap and:
- in the case of syringes with a fixed female thread, screw the micro-cannula towards the tip of the syringe.
- in the case of syringes with mobile female luer lock: push the micro-cannula firmly into the tip of the syringe by turning it clockwise. For optimal screwing, use clamping pliers if necessary.
5/ Make a pre-hole at the identified entry point, using the pre-hole needle included in the kit.
6/ Through this entry point, introduce the micro-cannula previously connected to the syringe but in the appropriate injection plane by pinching the skin between the thumb and index finger of the opposite hand. Inject gently, applying as little pressure as possible. For the SoftFil precision range, use the mark on the base indicating the orientation of the side orifice and the graduations on the tube to determine the depth of injection to promote uniform treatment.
7/ To detach the SoftFil micro-cannula, hold the syringe and turn the female luer lock counter-clockwise, then gently withdraw the micro-cannula. Dispose of used micro-cannulas and pre-holed needles in an appropriate sharps container.
Side effects
Some complications such as pain, redness, bruising, hematoma, swelling or edema, may result from the injection technique itself. Also, repeated injections can cause scar tissue to form.
